Dana White will put his gambling chops to the test after joining a massive $10 million baccarat tournament being held this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC CEO took to social media on Friday to reveal the unique opportunity.
Of course, White is no stranger to wagering some of his hard-earned cash in “Sin City.” The millionaire fight promoter is known to be an avid gambler who enjoys blackjack and other card games. White isn’t always a winner and often gets caught gambling during live UFC events, but when you’re worth $500 million it really doesn’t matter.
All of that said, a $10 million baccarat tournament is pretty rare. It seems like a no-brainer for someone like White who jumped on Instagram late Friday night to show off his tournament invite from MGM Resorts, a promotional gift of $20,000 in chips, and a cool framed $1,000 bill. Check out the video below:
This is all well and good, but this lucrative baccarat tournament could potentially interfere with UFC Vegas 105, which goes down Saturday night from inside UFC Apex. The event will be headlined by a featherweight clash between contenders Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy, but White may be too busy to attend in person.
As the face of UFC, should White remove himself from this baccarat tournament to attend a so-so Fight Night card in Las Vegas?
Let’s discuss!
