Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Nicholas Pooran had a magnificent outing with the bat during the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The Eden Gardens in Kolkata hosted the 21st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Lucknow Super Giants batter Nicholas Pooran came up with yet another brutal innings in the ongoing Indian Premier League. The left-hander continued his golden form with the bat and made sure that he took his team to a big total on the board against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Nicholas Pooran, who walked out to bat at number three, attacked the bowlers right from the start as he made sure that he cashes on the brilliant platform set by the openers. The Southpaw looked equally good against spinners as well as the pacers as he smashed the ball in the corners of the park.

Nicholas Pooran’s best came in the over of Andre Russell, which was the 18th over of the innings. The Lucknow Super Giants batter scored 24 runs against his Carribean mate, ensuring that Lucknow Super Giants go past 200 runs with ease.
Nicholas Pooran started the over with a four as he got top-edge on the well-directed short ball from Russell. After the dot ball on the second ball, the Lucknow Super Giants batter slammed another boundary on the third ball of the over, which was another short-of-length delivery.
Andre Russell bowled a short ball around leg-stump, to which Nicholas Pooran was able to get under the shot. He played the pull/hook to send the ball to the right of deep square leg. On the very next ball, the Lucknow Super Giants then came up with a brilliant six.

On the last ball of the over, Andre Russell changed his length and went full. And it was bread and butter for Pooran as he cleared the front leg to smash the ball over long-off, slamming 24 runs in the 18th over of the innings.

Nicholas Pooran, who is the orange cap holder in the IPL 2025, ended with an unbeaten innings of 87 runs off 36 balls. The Lucknow Super Giants batter had a strike rate of over 241 as he hit 7 fours and 8 sixes during his stay at the crease.
Apart from him, Aiden Markram (47) and Mitchell Marsh (81) played magnificent hands with the bat. Thanks to their brilliant effort with the bat, the Lucknow Super Giants posted a massive total of 238 runs on the board.
