Delhi Capitals (DC) fast bowler Mukesh Kumar is having a decent outing with the ball in the ongoing game against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The game between the two teams is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Lucknow Super Giants, who were asked to bat first, were off to a flying start. Openers in Mitchell Marsh (45) and Aiden Markram (52) looked in golden touch with the bat as they added 87 runs for the opening partnership to put pressure on the Axar Patel-led side.

The opening batters made sure that they set the platform for the Lucknow Super Giants. The team also promoted Abdul Samad up the order to cash on the start they had. But Mukesh Kumar brought his team back in the game with an incredible 14th over of the innings.
Your daily dose of cricket!
Mukesh Kumar made sure that Lucknow Super Giants regretted the move to promote Abdul Samad as he removed the batter on the second ball of his second over. The fast bowler bowled a skiddy back-of-a-length ball on off that stuck a bit on the surface.
Abdul Samad tried to flat-bat it down the ground but only managed to mistime it back towards the bowler. Mukesh Kumar was on the alert on his follow-through as he took it nicely with both hands to end the batter’s innings on just 2 runs.
What caught the attention of many was the reaction of Mukesh Kumar after he had his man. The Delhi Capitals pacer came up with a unique celebration as he gestured to the batter to go back to the pavilion.
