Roman Anthony (Outfielder)
2024 MiLB stats: .291/.396/.498, 54 extra-base hits, 65 RBI and 21 stolen bases in 119 games played
Arguably the top prospect in baseball, Anthony slugged his way to Triple-A last season, and at 20 years old, he is primed for his MLB debut.
With outfielders Jarren Duran, Wilyer Abreu and Ceddanne Rafaela expected to handle most of the playing time, Anthony could force his way into the lineup if his strong performance continues in 2025.
While he won’t be rushed to the big leagues, Anthony has the makings of a potential superstar.
Walker Buehler (Pitcher)
2024 MLB stats: 1-6, 5.38 ERA, 1.553 WHIP and 64 strikeouts over 65 innings pitched
Coming off a World Series victory with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Buehler made a surprising move to the Red Sox this offseason.
After making his return from his 2022 Tommy John surgery that cost him the entire 2023 season, Buehler struggled during the 2024 regular season. But after a solid run in the postseason, the Red Sox saw all they needed, signing the 30-year-old to a one-year, $21M deal.
While he doesn’t need to be the ace of the Red Sox, Buehler will be held to high expectations after receiving a hefty one-year deal.
Richard Fitts (Pitcher)
2024 MLB stats: 0-1, 1.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and nine strikeouts over 20.2 innings pitched
After making his MLB debut in 2024, Fitts enters spring training with a chance to be a major piece of the Red Sox’s success this season.
Acquired by the Red Sox in a 2023 trade with the New York Yankees, Fitts has shown glimpses of being the best player involved in that trade.
Already showing improved velocity during spring training, Fitts should be a multi-inning weapon out of the bullpen for Red Sox manager Alex Cora to use, or he could be a spot starter that fills in when needed.
With 405 strikeouts over 381.1 innings pitched in the minors, Fitts will look to keep mowing down hitters at the major-league level in 2025.
