The what, now? You read that right. REEB Cycles is bringing back The Sam’s Pants. This awkwardly named gravel bike was introduced back in 2012, revised in 2020, and temporarily discontinued until this limited release.
The Sam’s Pants is said to be a great bike for gravel, bikepacking, adventure, or your daily commute. It’s handcrafted in the USA with modern geometry, double and triple-butted Columbus Zona tubing, and now, it’s also UDH compatible.

Curious about that name? “We built our first gravel bike over 13 years ago,” said Tim Moore, REEB Cycles Sales Director. “At the time, no one at REEB was sure about drop-bar bikes or skinny jeans, so they named the new bike after a local shop kid, Sam, who introduced everyone to the latter, and The Sam’s Pants was born. While we’re still unsure about skin-tight denim, one thing we’ve learned over the years is that it’s hard to beat the sense of adventure found behind the handlebars of a gravel bike.”

This is the start of REEB Cycles’ 15th year. The limited release of the revised 2025 The Sam’s Pants is a call back to REEB’s heritage of crafting steel bikes with simple, clean lines.
The Sam’s Pants Versatility

The Sam’s Pants is versatile enough that it can go from running errands around town to getting a podium spot with Joe Grant on the Colorado Trail Race. It sports enough tire clearance to fit a 54mm tire, and there’s a third set of bottle bosses on the downtube and a big front triangle for frame bags.

REEB also slackened out the headtube angle while increasing reach and shortening the chainstays, making The Sam’s Pants very capable. REEB also says that the lightweight steel frame was specifically designed for long days on mixed terrain. “Just like Sam’s pants, this design is tight.”
