The Phoenix Suns are expected to offer Devin Booker a two-year, $149.8 million contract extension this offseason as he become eligible to sign it, sources tell ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. Booker signed a four-year, $220 million supermax extension during the 2022 offseason that began this season.
The Suns are planning to reset the franchise around Booker, who wants to remain with the franchise long-term. Despite having limited means of improving the roster around Booker, trading him is not an option.
Booker averaged 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists this past season. Booker didn’t click with Mike Budenholzer, who the Suns fired earlier this week. Booker is represented by Jessica Holtz and Melvin Booker.
