The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-126 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 40 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in the game.Â
Gilgeous-Alexander also shot 12-of-14 from the free throw line.
“It’s fun. It’s up there with being at home,” said Gilgeous-Alexander about playing on the road. “It’s your job to go out there and play basketball and shut them up.”
Jalen Williams added 34 points with six three-pointers. Chet Holmgren had 21 points and seven rebounds.
Anthony Edwards finished with 16 points, with Julius Randle scoring five points on 1-for-7 shooting.
Chris Finch said that his team had to do a better job defending Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams.
“They got to their spots and they rose up and made shots over us,” said Finch. “But we’ve got to do a better job of trying to contain that first dribble like we did in Game 3, a much better job there.”
Game 5 takes place on Wednesday.Â
