Seven of the eight Indiana players who entered the transfer portal this spring have now chosen where they’ll play next season.

The only remaining IU player from last season’s roster in the portal is Dallas James, who didn’t appear in a regular season game for the Hoosiers.

In order of their commitment date, here’s a look at where each will play next winter:

Gabe Cupps – Ohio State

Cupps is returning to his home state of Ohio and will play for the Buckeyes next season. If he is granted a medical redshirt for last season, he’ll have three seasons of eligibility in Columbus.

Malik Reneau – Miami (FL)

One of the most sought-after players early in the portal window, Reneau is also returning home. He’ll play for first-year head coach Jai Lucas and the Hurricanes next winter. Reneau has one season of eligibility left.

Jakai Newton – Georgia State

Newton will look to stay healthy next season as he returns to Georgia to play for the Panthers. Newton will have three seasons to play in Atlanta.

Myles Rice – Maryland

Rice will look to rebound next season and will stay in the Big Ten. He’s expected to be a major backcourt piece for Buzz Williams, who took over for Kevin Willard, in College Park. Rice has two seasons of eligibility.

Mackenzie Mgbako – Texas A&M

Mgbako is testing the NBA draft waters, but the expectation is that he will return to college. If he does return, he’ll suit up for Bucky McMillan and the Aggies in the SEC with two years of eligibility remaining.

Bryson Tucker – Washington

After inconsistent playing time as a Hoosier, Tucker is headed west and will remain in the Big Ten. He will be expected to have a significant role in year two of the Danny Sprinkle era in Seattle. Tucker has three seasons of eligibility.

Kanaan Carlyle – Florida Atlantic

The most recent Hoosier to choose his new home, Carlyle committed to Florida Atlantic on Friday, May 16. With two seasons of eligibility left, Carlyle will look to get his career back on track in Boca Raton.
