Just months after introducing the four-bar suspension-equipped Vala, Santa Cruz is at it again. This time, the mighty Bullit has been redesigned with an all-new suspension layout, updated geometry, a new motor system, and more.

Calling it a ‘downhill bike with a built-in chairlift’, it’s easy to see where Santa Cruz is going with the Bullit. Like the Vala, the Bullit moves to a four-bar suspension due to the fact that VPP pivots made packaging the motor more of a challenge. The move to the new suspension layout allows SC to place the motor, the suspension pivots where they want, while maintaining tire and chainring clearance, and also allowing room for longer dropper post insertion.

It also allows for the first Bullit in size small, with sizes topping out at XXL. All sizes run MX wheels with a 29″ front, and 27.5″ rear. They also run 170mm travel front and rear to tackle whatever trail you point it down. Both the geometry and shock progression can be adjusted with individual flip chips.

Moving to a Bosch drive system, the Bullit is equipped with a Bosch Performance Line CX motor and a 600Wh fixed battery. SC points out that this battery is over 2.2lbs lighter than an 800Wh battery, and it ideal for most rides. For those who want more range, there is a 250Wh PowerMore range extender that will be sold aftermarket which adds 3.3lbs.

Impressively, all builds for the Bullit come in under 50lbs for both CC &C carbon frames, with the heaviest SRAM 70 Eagle build checking in at 49.4lbs as claimed. The top of the line X0 AXS RSV build weighs a claimed 48.17lbs.
Pricing starts at $7,399. Bikes are available now, check the site below for more details.
