My friend Eddie Jordan was like the missing member of Rolling Stones (The Telegraph)
Damon Hill: ‘When you’ve fought your way out of a small town south of Dublin to get to be in F1, you don’t squander millions on a ‘two-a-penny’ racing driver like me. So, I bought a Lear Jet with the proceeds. That annoyed him, to be sure!’
Eddie Jordan 1948-2025 (Motorsport UK)
‘Whether behind the wheel, on the pit wall or behind the microphone, Eddie’s unique personality and incredible enthusiasm always shone through. He will be remembered as one of motorsport’s greatest personalities and a true ambassador who will be much missed right around the globe.’
Ecclestone explains why he won’t go to Eddie Jordan’s funeral (Daily Mail)
‘I won’t be going to his funeral. I don’t go to funerals. I may not go to mine. He certainly won’t go to mine. So, it’s all fair. It always was with Eddie.’
Zhou hopes to get back into F1 race seat with Cadillac in 2026 (Reuters)
‘I’m really happy, of course, that Graeme is the principal of Cadillac, but that doesn’t mean I’m definitely linked with the team because, at the end of the day, the overall decision is taken by different people.’
Grand Prix Plaza in Las Vegas scores major award ahead of opening (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
‘We’ve reduced both indoor and outdoor water use at Grand Prix Plaza, utilising several different methods. One of which is mechanical cooling on the building. You won’t find any evaporative cooling, so no water use there.’
Eddie Jordan, the former F1 team boss who has passed away at the age of 76, published his autobiography, “An Independent Man” in 2007. It’s well worth a read:

RIP EJ. My boss and great friend seen here gently celebrating our win at the 1999 Italian GP. Arguably our greatest day in F1 pic.twitter.com/T6xU8zMOCo

Devastated to hear about the sad passing of my dear friend Eddie Jordan. We became buddies when I took the Jordan F1 baton into Force India F1. His high energy and effervescence will be missed. RIP Eddie.

Saddened to hear of the passing of one of the sport’s great characters. There was never a dull moment with Eddie Jordan around, here sharing the Hinckley Mota-Care Colt Lancer with the great, lamented “Whizzo” Williams, @jclelandracing and me at Snetterton in 1980 #fun #RIPEJ😪 pic.twitter.com/DIMRgU8Cx9

I don’t really come in here anymore, but listening to @mrjakehumphrey on @bbc5live honouring our pal Eddie Jordan so beautifully… I had to draw your attention to it. Pure emotion & pure love, sums up EJ really. Rest in peace. FTB
