World No. 1 Jannik Sinner Returns as All Clay Roads Lead To Rome The final Masters 1000 clay-court tournament of the season, Rome brings the out the best. The Internazionali BNL d’Italia welcomes back world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who will play his first tournament since his three-month suspension ended on May 4th. Sinner is undefeated since falling to Carlos Alcaraz last October. The tournament is one of the three ATP Masters 1000 events contested on clay, but the event is more than just tennis; it is a total entertainment experience. High fashion, fine food, fabulous shopping and celebrity musical performances have made the tournament one of the most glamorous stops on the ATP Tour. On the ladies’ side, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who beat Coco Gauff to win Madrid, will try to sustain her roll in Rome. Reigning Rome champion Iga Swiatek has not played a final since defeating Jasmine Paolini to win the 2024 Roland Garros last June.
