2025 Roland Garros: Alcaraz and Swiatek Aim to Defend World No. 1 champion Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka each play for their maiden Roland Garros titles. Novak Djokovic, who split with coach Andy Murray this month, plays for a 100th career championship, including a record-extending 25th major title. World No. 5 Iga Swiatek is reigning Roland Garros women’s champion, playing for her fifth French Open championship and first final since she defeated Jasmine Paolini in the 2024 title match. Swiatek is playing for an Open Era record fourth consecutive French Open crown. Carlos Alcaraz, who beat Sinner and Alexander Zverev back-to-back to win the 2024 Roland Garros, carries a 15-1 clay-court record this season into Paris. Alcaraz won Masters 1000 titles in Monte-Carlo and Rome in preparation for his Paris title defense.
