Roger Federer has much more time to devote himself to activities and initiatives with his sponsors and still loves to travel, despite his long career as a professional tennis player has ‘forced’ him to spend a lot of time away from his home.

The former world number 1 recently visited South Africa with his Foundation, a beautiful journey through which he was able to see with his own eyes the great work done in recent years to promote the education and growth of children.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion did not have much time to rest after this trip to South Africa, because just recently he participated in an event of his sponsor Uniqlo in France with the children of the ‘Fete le mur’ association in La Courneuve.

Federer is still very active

Although his career ended two and a half years ago, the King has remained very attached to the world of tennis and has appeared in several tournaments on the professional tour in this time. For example, the former Swiss champion was present at the Rolex Shanghai Masters in October 2024 and also had a small practice session with the young Spanish champion Carlos Alcaraz.

In addition, Roger watched live the final between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner (won by the Italian in two sets).

Recently, his eternal rival Rafael Nadal spoke about his bond with Federer and Djokovic: “I wouldn’t know how to choose between the two of them. My career has been linked to them, we have improved each other and we have taken tennis to a new dimension.

We took away some titles from each other, but it is worth highlighting how none of us would have achieved certain goals if we had not been motivated by the other two. We pushed ourselves to the limit from all points of view. That’s why we’ve had such long careers.”

Federer was the first to retire in 2022, while Rafa left professional tennis last November after playing in the Davis Cup Finals.
