Paris Saint-Germain finally lifted their first UEFA Champions League title with a commanding 5–0 win over Inter Milan, and they’ll now make their UEFA Super Cup debut against Tottenham Hotspur. With the 2024–25 season drawing to a close, fans are asking: when and where will this highly anticipated clash take place?
First held in 1974, the UEFA Super Cup has become one of Europe’s most prestigious trophies, bringing together the winners of the Champions League and Europa League in a single match to crown the continent’s best club.
While PSG conquered the Champions League in emphatic fashion, Tottenham Hotspur claimed the Europa League title. Under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs edged out Manchester United 1–0 in the final, ending a lengthy trophy drought for the North London club.
Now, PSG and Tottenham are set to meet at the start of next season to add another piece of silverware to their European resumes. However, due to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, the Super Cup’s timing could shift slightly on the calendar.
UEFA Super Cup date and venue
As is tradition, the UEFA Super Cup will be staged at the start of the upcoming campaign, in this case the 2025–26 season. The match between PSG and Tottenham is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13.

This year’s Super Cup will be hosted at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy—home of Udinese Calcio. The historic matchup will also mark the 50th anniversary of the competition.
PSG and Tottenham set for first official meeting
PSG made history by becoming the first French club to complete a treble, while Tottenham stunned many by winning the Europa League despite finishing 17th in the Premier League and not registering a single shot on target in the final. Despite their contrasting seasons, the Super Cup will be the first official competitive match between the two sides.
Their only previous encounter came during the 2017 International Champions Cup, a preseason friendly in Orlando, Florida, where Spurs secured a 4–2 win at Camping World Stadium.
