With Bellator MMA no longer in the mix and part of its duties, Professional Fighters League (PFL) is continuing its global expansion by adding it’s fourth international league into the fold with the announcement of PFL Pacific.

Per a press release, the promotion revealed details of its latest expansion efforts in attempts to reach fans worldwide, stating that PFL Pacific will focus on finding and building talent in Australia and New Zealand.

“It has been a priority of ours to bring the Professional Fighters League to Australia and the Pacific region, delivering our world-class brand of MMA and the sport’s biggest stars to local fans,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “Through our landmark partnership with Stan, and extended reach with action streaming on 9Now and broadcast free-to-air on the 9Network, we’re creating the most accessible MMA experience Australia has ever seen. With the launch of PFL Pacific, we’re also building a foundation for long-term growth and aiming to crown more Aussie champions than any other league over the next three years.”

PFL also locked down a media deal with Nine in Australia, featuring coverage across Stan Sport, 9Now and the 9Network to cover PFL Pacific. The inaugural PFL Pacific Tournament will begin sometime in 2026 and consist of four events in a sine-elimination bracket.

Earlier this week, PFL announced the launch of PFL Africa, which will debut on Sat., July 26, 2025 at GrandWest Arena in Cape Town, South Africa, featuring first round matchups in the heavyweight and bantamweight divisions. The event will be headlined by undefeated 2024 PFL champion Dakota Ditcheva taking on Sumiko Inaba, while Johnny Eblen faces Costello van Steenis.

PFL Pacific and PFL Africa join PFL Europe and PFL Mena on the promotion’s ever-growing international portfolio.
