Pat Brown (1-0, 1 KO) had an explosive start to his professional boxing career with a fourth round technical knockout win over Federico Grandone (7-5-2, 3 KOs).
The official time of stoppage was 0:55. Although their cruiserweight contest was scheduled for six rounds, it soon became evident that the fight would not go the distance. Brown, a former Olympian, was fighting for the first time since his loss at the Paris Olympics.
Brown-Grandone headlined a Matchroom Boxing card at the Planet Ice in Altrincham, England. Fight fans around the world could catch the action live on DAZN. Brown was originally set to face Vladimir Reznicek for his professional debut. However, the Czech fighter withdrew from the contest, resulting in Grandone stepping in.

While both men began patiently, it was not long before Brown found his range. The Englishman had little problem in landing his jab and power shots to the head and body. Although Grandone fired back, little of it was getting through the defences of his opponent. Round three was a toe-to-toe battle with Brown doing the better of the two. His uppercuts and shots to the body were having a clear impact on Grandone.
While Brown was getting hit with hard punches occasionally, he took them well and carried on with his mauling. In round four, Grandone was hit with a barrage of punches along the ropes which kept him from going to the canvas. Referee Darren Sarginson then stepped in to issue a count. Not long after, Grandone was hit with another barrage. It was at that moment Sarginson stepped in to put an end to proceedings, giving Brown the victory via technical knockout.

“Great atmosphere,” said Brown after the fight. “This is what I do it for. He [Grandone] was a game bugger, he was tough. He’s in shape, he comes to win and credit to him. Fair play.”
“I wanted to start off slow and steady, and to be fair, he didn’t want none of that. He comes straight to it in the middle of the ring. Sam [Jones, his manager] mentioned he’s a forward fighter and I say multiple times, if you want to come forward at me, you’re in for a ding dong din. That’s where we got a little bit off tonight. Listen, loads of learning, back to the drawing board. Good experience in front of a great crowd and move on to the next one.”

Cameron Vuong (8-0, 4 KOs) won via seventh round technical knockout against Jordan Flynn (11-1-1, 1 KO). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round lightweight contest was 1:08. Flynn’s gloves touched the canvas in the third after being hit with a straight right, which was called a knockdown by referee Howard Foster. In round seven, Foster stopped the fight after Flynn was hit with a hard right hook. Vuong had been landing without much resistant beginning in the sixth, which resulted in the stoppage in the seventh.

Mark Dickinson (8-1, 2 KOs) won a unanimous decision against Reece Farnhill (11-1, 4 KOs). Scores for the 10-round super middleweight bout were 99-92, 98-93 and 98-92. With the victory, Dickinson is now the English super middleweight champion.
William Crolla (8-0, 6 KOs) won on points against Emmanuel Zion (6-4, 3 KOs) in a six-round super welterweight clash. Referee Sarginson had it 58-57 on his scorecard.

Conner Tudsbury (2-0, 1 KO) won on points against Robbie Connor (3-5-2, 0 KOs) in their six-round light heavyweight contest. Referee John Latham had it 60-54 on his scorecard.

Taylor Bevan (3-0, 3 KOs) won via first round technical knockout against Ales Makovec (5-4-1, 3 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this six-round super middleweight fight was 2:15. Makovec was knocked down by a left uppercut. Referee Sarginson put an end to proceedings before counting to 10, resulting in a technical knockout win for Bevan.
