Every athlete’s career has an expiration date. There comes a time when they have to transition to life after sport. Some earn enough money that they don’t have to work again while others pick up new careers. When lightweight star Paddy Pimblett walks away from fighting, he has his eyes set on the silver screen.

“Hopefully I make so much money that I don’t have to do anything and if I want I can just sit on the couch. But I’ve always said that I want to end up in Hollywood,” Pimblett said on the It’s Time!!! podcast with Bruce Buffer. “Going to end up in films or series and stuff like that. I’ll definitely be a better actor than Conor [McGregor]. I’d be in like a serious role, not like just playing a weird version of myself.”

“The Baddy” has a bit of an acting background. Before he began training to be a fighter, Pimblett took drama and starred in a few plays as a child.

“When I was younger and I was little my mom had me doing like plays. I done drama and I was in a couple of plays like Oliver Twist and Annie and stuff like that,” Pimblett said.

“That’s something I’ve always said, ‘Oh, I think I’ll end up acting.’ I think I’ll end up in like, even if it’s not Hollywood, but some form or acting. It’ll be a good way to finish my career.”
