Manchester City are pressing ahead with their quest to secure Champions League football without Erling Haaland following the ankle injury he suffered against Bournemouth.
City return to Premier League action against relegation-threatened Leicester City, a game they will tackle without Haaland, who has been ruled out for up to seven weeks.
Pep Guardiola’s men will still be expected to win comfortably without the services of their talisman, who has 30 goals in all competitions this season.
Indeed, Leicester have lost their last seven games in succession, their last victory a surprise away triumph at Tottenham in January.
And with the Foxes having failed to beat City in any game since their victory in the Community Shield in 2021, an upset seems highly unlikely.
The hosts will leapfrog Chelsea into fourth place with a win. Leicester head into the game 12 points adrift of safety.
Check out the confirmed team news for tonight’s 7.45pm clash below.
Manchester City team news
City have made six changes from the side that came from behind to beat Bournemouth and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Omar Marmoush, who scored the winner against the Cherries, comes in for the injured Haaland, while Nico O’Reilly, who had a hand in both goals of that 2-1 victory on the south coast, earns his first Premier League start.
He comes in for Abdukodir Khusanov, with Josko Gvardiol shifting from left-back into the centre of defence.
Nico Gonzalez, Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku and Savinho also come into the starting XI, with Mateo Kovacic, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne dropping out.
For Grealish, it’s a first Premier League start since December 21. Oscar Bobb is on the bench for the first time this season following a nightmare spell of injuries.

Leicester are unchanged from the side that lost 3-0 to Manchester United on March 16.
They’ll be hoping that XI can reverse fortunes from that dismal performance and score a league goal for the first time since the win over Spurs.
