Luka Doncic had an upset stomach and chills leading up to the Los Angeles Lakers’ 116-104 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3.
Doncic, who was averaging 34 points and ten rebounds over the first two games in the series, finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Doncic was “vomiting all afternoon,” according to JJ Redick.
LeBron James finished with 38 points in the loss, the most points for a player over 40 years old in a playoff game.Â
The Lakers committed 19 turnovers in the game, leading to 28 points for the Timberwolves.
“In the postseason, obviously you’re not going to play a perfect game,” James said. “But the more that you make mistakes on top of mistakes, on top of mistakes — things that can be controlled — then it’s not going to give you an opportunity to be in the best possible chance to win.”
Redick said he hoped Doncic would feel better by Game 4 on Sunday.
“Hopefully, whatever’s going on, he’s feeling better on Sunday,” Redick said. “I mean, I can’t [diagnose him]. I’m not a doctor.”
