Al Horford and Jaylen Brown expressed their concern for Jayson Tatum after he was carried off the floor with a right leg injury in the fourth quarter of the Boston Celtics’ 121-113 loss to the New York Knicks in Game 4.
“I mean, at this point, I’m concerned about Jayson,” said Horford after the game. “That’s the most important to me. … The game stuff, we’ll address it. But I’m just hoping that he’s OK.”
Tatum is set to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. The Celtics did not put out any updates on Tatum’s condition.
“I’m not sure,” replied Brown when asked about what Tatum’s injury would mean for the team moving forward. “I’ve got no words right now.”
Tatum had 42 points at the time of the injury.
“These things happen,” added Kristaps Porzingis. “Obviously we all felt for him in that moment, but we just have to keep going, we have to keep playing.”
Game 5 takes place on Wednesday.Â
