Jannik Sinner has no issues with being compared to a video character and all the Luigi memes as the Italian tennis star suggests he is always for finding "the funny side" in things.
For this year's French Open edition, the world No. 1 is wearing a specially designed green and blue outfit. It didn't take long before fans started noticing the resemblance between the Italian tennis star's outfit and Luigi's.
It even led to Sinner's coach Darren Cahill posting about it on social media.
"Forza Luigi," Cahill wrote on Instagram on May 29th after the three-time Grand Slam champion ousted Richard Gasquet in straight sets in the second round.

Sinner on the Luigi memes: We need to see the funny part
On Monday, the top seed crushed world No. 15 Andrey Rublev 6-1 6-3 6-4 to book a French Open quarterfinal spot. Following the win, the 23-year-old was asked to address the memes posted about him and to reveal how he felt his coach joining the trend.
“It’s nice, you know? I feel like sometimes we need to see the funny part also at times. It’s something different, the outfit. It’s also nice sometimes to change up. If not, it’s always too boring. It’s good to have something on at least," Sinner said.
