Bryson DeChambeau is certainly the biggest star of LIV Golf, a league that appeared on the big stage three years ago. His results at the Majors are the best indicator of how great a golfer the American is.
Although some are skeptical about LIV Golfer's chances at the next Majors, the performances of LIV Golfers like DeChambeau offer optimism that this league has the potential to make a great showing at the U.S. Open.
The famous golfer celebrated last year at this Majors, so it is not surprising where such optimism about his chances comes from.
Jack Nicklaus, golf legend and host of this week's Memorial Tournament, referred to the qualities of Bryson, having words of praise for the 31-year-old, admitting that he was impressed by his performances.
“He is long. He controls the ball quite well with what he does. I am very impressed with what he does. Took himself, transformed his body.
He has done a pretty nice job of learning how to continue to control the ball. He has the same lengths shaft, upright. The Mad Scientist prevailed. He did a nice job.”- Nicklaus said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
Great expectations from the golf public: Can Bryson excel?
There is no doubt that huge attention will be focused on Bryson, with high expectations from the fans.
LIV officials also have high hopes for him, aware that he is probably the strongest weapon of this Tour, and the person who has the best chance of making history at the next Major.
The experienced American is motivated and hungry to make a huge step forward at the upcoming Majors, frustrated because he was so close to the trophy at some of the previous Majors.
