“No Love” is back!

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt returns to action against Brazil’s Raoni Barcelos this weekend (Sat., June 14, 2025) at UFC Atlanta, which goes down inside State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Garbrandt last fought at UFC 300, where former Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo submitted him in the second round (watch highlights).

Then, poof! “No Love” disappeared.

The 33-year-old was scheduled to face Miles Johns in November 2024 but withdrew for undisclosed reasons. Now, the reason is clear: a continued case of vertigo.

“Being out of something you’d do anything for is challenging—mentally, emotionally, physically—especially after the fight at UFC 300. I was feeling great against a tough opponent. I got taken down in the second round and had really bad vertigo,” Garbrandt revealed during UFC Atlanta media day. “I had to go through extensive therapy and see specialists. I was in and out of the hospital for vertigo.”

“The uncertainty of when I’d be able to return to my normal self was tough. I couldn’t lie down or sleep. It was troubling, but I kept faith in myself, prayed to my God, and relied on a close team,” Garbrandt added. “When I was sitting in the hospital bed, I wanted to do anything to get back to fighting, but there was no way I was making it. I want to thank the UFC Performance Institute for putting my health first.”

Oh, and “No Love” also got a new face tattoo.

Will the former champion get back on track after being cleared of vertigo? Garbrandt is currently a betting underdog (+164) to Barcelos.
