At 47 years old, Tom Brady reportedly has his eyes set on another major football accomplishment.
While he was a player, flag football wasn’t nearly as popular as today. With the upcoming 2028 Olympics adding the sport, the NFL made sure that its players could compete in the event. Brady retired in 2023, but that may not last long, as a gold medal is in sight.

Tom Brady Could Play in 2028 Olympics
According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Brady has his eyes set on representing the USA in the 2028 Olympics. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is the most decorated NFL player, and he could add a gold medal in flag football to his résumé.
“He [Brady] wants a gold medal,” An insider told Daily Mail. “And what better way to remain the GOAT and return to the sport he loves, by helping his country win gold.”
If there’s anything to know about Brady, it’s his drive and competitive spirit. Age truly is just a number for him, and flag football would be an entirely new game for the seven-time Super Bowl winner. No matter how many rings or accomplishments Brady has, nothing he’s ever done comes close to an Olympic gold medal.
“He knows he would be able to help and excel in that environment, and since his life is very much scheduled and has a tight regimen, so many things could fall into place for him around that time,” the insider continued.
With Brady’s birthday being Aug. 3, potentially winning a gold medal just a few days before that would truly be the icing on the cake. It’s clear that the legendary quarterback has thought this over, and seeing as it wouldn’t interfere with his announcing or ownership plans, things could line up well enough to make it a reality.
The insider added, “Since the NFL wants to make a splash in the Olympics, they can have their own Dream Team, and who better to lead them than the Greatest of all Time!”
There’s no arguing that Brady could be the ideal leader Team USA needs in the Olympics. Even with all of the talented quarterbacks currently in the NFL, no one is able to touch the five-time Super Bowl MVP.
With the Pro Bowl Games becoming a flag football event, the NFL is already going to have a few years of experience before transitioning to the Olympics. Owners unanimously passed a vote on May 21 that allowed NFL players to compete in the Olympics, which is a huge sign for not only fans of the Olympics, but NFL fans in general.
