The IBF once again returns to Atlantic City, NJ to celebrate its 40th Annual Convention, scheduled for June 1 – 5, 2025, at Caesars.
During each convention, the IBF hosts an awards ceremony to commemorate the boxers that fought for the organization’s titles the previous year. The IBF proudly announces its top award recipients for 2024 to be presented at the Awards Dinner closing the organization’s convention festivities on Wednesday, June 4, 202.
Jersey Joe Walcott Award
Daniel Dubios is the recipient of The Jersey Joe Walcott Award, the organization’s highest honor for male world champions. Dubois won the IBF Interim Heavyweight title on June 1, 2024, with an outstanding win over Filip Hergovic. He followed with a thrilling defense of the title against Anthony Joshua in which he was once again spectacularly victorious.
Female Fighter of the Year
Gabriela Fundora is the IBF Female Fighter of the Year having become the youngest Undisputed Champion in what was also the third defense of her IBF title. Fundora won the IBF title first with a 5th round KO of Arely Mucino.

Atlantic City, the destination for the organization’s Forming Convention in 1983 serves as the perfect backdrop for this year’s convention in the IBF’s home state of New Jersey. The IBF has hosted well attended conventions in Atlantic City, and the expectation is the same for this one.
