Bolton, UK – BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing – the world’s largest and oldest bare knuckle fighting promotion – announced today that it will debut in Bolton, England on July 5 for BKB 43: Bolton Brawl at The Hideout Arena Whoolden St, Farnworth, Bolton BL4 7EP, United Kingdom.
Headlining the card will be two of BKB’s most decorated and technical boxers when Super Lightweight champion Harry “The Hitman” Gigliotti defend his title against undefeated Kallum “Skull Crusher” Skhane.
Gigliotti (4-0, 3 KOs) of Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA, was the 2012 New England Junior Olympic champ, 2013 New England Golden Gloves runner-up 2021 New England Welterweight Champion and 2023 ABF Atlantic Super Lightweight Champ. He won the inaugural BKB Super Lightweight World championship in October in Leeds, UK against Ireland’s Joe Fitzpatrick, and successfully defended it this past February against Jon Barnard.
Blaengwynfi, Wales’ Skhane (2-0, 2 KOs) is a veteran of 75 amateur boxing bouts and a former British and five-time Welsh boxing champion.
Said BKB’s Head of European Operations Jim Freeman, “When BYB and BKB merged, we created the biggest and best roster of bare knuckle fighters from around the world and fans are treated to nothing but 50-50 matchups like this. Regardless of the outcome, Harry and Kallum are two world-class fighters who will carry our reemerging sport into the future as we continue to set the gold-standard in not just bare knuckle, but combat sports with second-to-none events, on all corners of the globe.”
In the past two years, BKB (originally BYB) has purchased the UK-based BKB, the world’s oldest professional bare knuckle boxing company, and in doing so merged the organizations to create the largest bare knuckle boxing company in the world in terms of roster, library and distribution; ushered in ethical and legalized gambling to the sport; acquired the rights to the historic and prestigious Police Gazette Diamond Belt which now serves as the Bare Knuckle Boxing World Championship; and brought bare knuckle boxing to lineal television in the United States with the recent deal with VICE TV.
In addition to the largest roster of fighters across the globe, BKB boasts a who’s who of broadcast talent on both sides of the Atlantic.
