Building on its long-standing partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing, ExxonMobil is expanding its presence in Formula 1 by extending its sponsorship to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB). This new collaboration will see ExxonMobil provide tailor-made fuel and advanced technical services, reinforcing its commitment to the Red Bull family.

Having been a key player in Formula 1 since the inaugural race at Silverstone in 1950, ExxonMobil is marking its 75th year in the sport by deepening its involvement. With this latest partnership, the company continues to push the boundaries of fuel and lubricant technology, supporting both Red Bull-owned teams in their pursuit of peak performance.

A cornerstone of this collaboration is ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art Trackside Laboratory, which, along with a team of expert technicians, will attend every F1 Grand Prix in 2025. Their role will be pivotal in conducting fuel and lubricant analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance with the FIA’s stringent standards, and identifying early signs of component wear to optimize performance and reliability.

Throughout the 2025 season, Mobil, Esso, and Mobil 1 branding will be prominently featured on the VCARB 02 challenger, the driver overalls of Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar, as well as the team kit and garage setup, further solidifying ExxonMobil’s presence in the paddock.

Peter Bayer, CEO of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “The Mobil brand has a storied history in advancing motorsports. We already have a strong relationship with ExxonMobil, and we are thrilled to expand our collaboration to enhance our performance this season. This partnership underscores our shared dedication to pioneering research and innovation in Formula 1, the ultimate testing ground for new technologies. We look forward to achieving new milestones together on and off the track and are proud to welcome Mobil to our family.”

Olly Hughes, CMO of Red Bull Technology, emphasized ExxonMobil’s vital role in Red Bull’s success: “Since 2017, ExxonMobil has been instrumental in Oracle Red Bull Racing’s achievements, providing world-class fuel and lubricants that have powered us to multiple race wins and championships. Their commitment to innovation and performance has been a key factor in our ability to push the limits on track. Now, as they extend their partnership to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, we’re excited to see their expertise benefit another team within the Red Bull family. This marks the next step in a collaboration built on excellence, and we look forward to even greater success together.”

Laurent Mekies, Team Principal of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership: “This is fantastic news for the team. Formula 1 is becoming increasingly technological, and our competitive edge relies on strategic partnerships like this. Not only will we benefit from ExxonMobil’s world-class fuel and lubricants but also from their advanced trackside and research lab support, allowing us to push performance boundaries even further. This collaboration exemplifies how Formula 1 drives innovation, contributing to advancements in mobility and society at large.”

Katy Howell, Global Sponsorship Manager at ExxonMobil, reinforced the company’s commitment to motorsport: “Becoming the Fuel Partner to VCARB strengthens our dedication to pushing the limits of performance in motorsport. Our established relationship with Oracle Red Bull Racing has already proven invaluable, and this new partnership further extends the collaboration we will foster together on the racetrack.”

Nick Berthiaux, Regional VP of Americas Fuels at ExxonMobil, reflected on the brand’s legacy in Formula 1: “We have invested in motorsport from the very beginning, 75 years ago, because Formula 1 provides the ultimate platform to test, push, and improve the products we create for everyday drivers. Seeing our Mobil and Esso brands on the VCARB 02 car in the 2025 season is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence in both racing and real-world applications.”

With this enhanced partnership, ExxonMobil reaffirms its position as a key player in Formula 1, driving innovation and performance across both Red Bull teams as the sport enters an exciting new era.
