Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Roster Move, Pitchers Leaves Organization, Andrew Friedman, Clayton Kershaw Talk Austin Barnes DFA

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost the first game of the Freeway Series against the Los Angeles Angels, 6-2, on Friday night. They fell to 29-16 on the year.

Before the game, the Dodgers made a roster move, recalling another pitcher from Triple-A. The right-hander struggled in his Dodgers debut on Friday night.

In more pitching news, a Dodgers pitcher has left the team to play in Korea. The newest member of Korea Baseball Organization played just eight games in Triple-A this season.

Finally, in a move that shocked Dodgers fans everywhere, veteran catcher Austin Barnes was designated for assignment on Wednesday. President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman spoke on the rationale behind the move, and the longest-tenured Dodger, Clayton Kershaw, shared a few words on his now former teammate and the “disappointing” news.
