Miami, FL – April 16, 2025 — Combate Global has officially announced the complete six-fight lineup for its upcoming Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event on Thursday, April 24. The action-packed night will stream live and free worldwide via Combate Global’s English and Spanish YouTube channels, starting at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from Miami.
Main Event: Zamora vs. Gomez in Bantamweight Battle
Topping the card is a high-stakes bantamweight (135 lbs) main event featuring Mexico City’s Ismael “Kraken” Zamora (8-3) against Ecuadorian striker Harry “El Cuervo” Gomez (11-2). A 10-fight veteran of the Combate Global cage, Zamora is aiming for redemption after suffering a second-round submission loss last July. Prior to that, the Bonebreakers team standout was on a three-fight win streak, and boasts six finishes out of eight career victories.
Gomez, a 23-year-old native of Santa Elena, Ecuador, brings his explosive style into La Jaula after a standout performance in Karate Combat earlier this year, where he handed Jakub Wayman his first career loss via unanimous decision. Eight of Gomez’s eleven wins have come by way of stoppage.
Reality TV Star Jawy Mendez Returns to La Jaula
Also on the card is a 175-pound catchweight clash featuring Latin American reality TV personality turned fighter, Jawy Mendez (0-1) of Mexico City. He’ll square off against Rafael Monterola (0-0) from The Bronx, New York, who is set to make his professional debut.
Undefeated Lightweights Collide: Martinez vs. DeSilva
One of the most anticipated bouts of the night features a lightweight showdown between two undefeated finishers — Michel “La Furia” Martinez (4-0) of Valencia, Spain, and Anthony “The Matrix” DeSilva (3-0) of Ontario, California.
Martinez, 35, has emerged as a knockout artist late in his career, stopping all four of his opponents in brutal fashion, including a 28-second head-kick KO in his most recent outing. DeSilva, 26, has matched that intensity, having finished all three of his opponents in under a round, most recently earning a 54-second TKO over Adam Garcia.
Women’s Atomweight Debuts: Frausto vs. Maldonado
The card will also feature a compelling atomweight (105 lbs) clash between two highly decorated amateur fighters making their professional debuts — Valerie Gomez Frausto (0-0) and Maria “La Felina” Maldonado (0-0).
Frausto, from León, Mexico, is a two-time Pan-American silver medalist and four-time amateur state champion. Her opponent Maldonado, out of Querétaro, is a former national champion in both amateur MMA and kickboxing.
Astudillo Aims to Extend Knockout Streak
In a 150-pound catchweight bout, Jonathan “Robocop” Astudillo (2-0) of Santiago, Chile (now based in Miami) looks to keep his undefeated streak alive against Trevor Schnurpel (0-0), who is making his professional debut after a successful amateur run that saw him finish three of his four wins.
Featherweight Prospects Make Pro Debut
Rounding out the lineup, featherweights Jairo “Tiempo” Gonzalez (0-0) and Marino Napuri (0-0) will both step into the pro ranks for the first time. Gonzalez hails from Zacatecas via Tijuana, while Napuri represents Temple City, California.
