Hernandez (37-2, 32 KOs) defeated Giron, 20-5 (13) by a 12 round decision.

In the first round, Hernandez landed left hooks to the head and body of Giron, taking the round. In the second round, both opened up in a crowd-pleasing round, with Hernandez having an edge. In the fourth round, the action continued in a slugfest between both.

In the fifth and sixth rounds, the action continued with Giron having Hernandez in the corner at the bell in the fifth. In the seventh round Hernandez drew blood from the nose of Giron with both landing well.

In the ninth through the eleventh rounds, Giron would have Hernandez against the ropes when Hernandez would drive him back. In the twelfth and final round, both never stopped landing punches, having the crowd let them know they enjoyed this slugfest with no clinches.

Referee Albert Padulo, Jr. The scores were 119-109, 120-108 and 120-108, which seemed way out of line.

In the co-feature returning after 16 months, Canadian heavyweight champion southpaw Alexix ‘The Great’ Barriere, 12-0 (10) knocked out Ubaldo ‘Baldo’ Ilagor Resendiz, 13-2 (12), at the end of the sixth round of a scheduled 10 rounds.

In the second round, Barriere drew blood from Resendiz’s nose. In the third round, Resendiz came out throwing wild punches for half a minute. Midway, he landed a solid right on Barriere’s chin. In the final minute, Barriere landed a solid left on Resendiz’s chin.

In the fifth round, Resendiz landed a right on Barriere’s shoulder, driving him back several steps with his glove touching the canvas, but Referee Martin Forest didn’t consider it a knockdown. In the final minute, Barriere rocked Resendiz with a left on the chin.

In the sixth round, Barriere landed a left, driving Resendiz into the ropes, with referee Forest ruling a knockdown. Midway Barriere landed a left on the chin, dropping Resendiz again. At the end of the round, the corner of Resendiz called a halt.

Middle southpaw Derek ‘Slick’ Pomerleau, 11-0 (9) stopped Nathan ‘The Matrix’ McIntosh, 14-4-1 (1) at 2:50 of the sixth round of a scheduled eight rounds.

In the first four rounds, Pomerleau easily outlanded the late sub, McIntosh. In the sixth round, Pomerleau dropped McIntosh with a left uppercut to the body for an 8-count from Referee Albert Padulo, Jr. A minute later, he again dropped McIntosh with a combination as Referee Padulo, Jr. waved it off.

In a foul-filled match, former WBA Feather champ Jelena Mrdjenovich, 44-12-1 (19) defeated Jessica ‘Bulldozer’ Bellusci, 6-4 (2) by an eight round unanimous decision.

In the first three rounds, both held too much. Mrdjenovich took the rounds. Bellusci had the edge in the wrestling match in the fourth and fifth rounds.

In the sixth and seventh rounds, Mrdjenovich starts out landing punches each round before falling into a clinch with Bellusci hitting behind the head. In the eighth and final round, the 42-year-old Mrdjenovich looked like the winner in this foul-filled match.

Referee Robert Bender. Scores 79-73, 80-72, and 80-72.

Super Light southpaw Lee Reeves, 13-1 (8) stopped Szabolcs Szabota, 2-1 in the first round of a scheduled four rounds.

Super Welter James Hughes, 3-0 (2) stopped Alexis Heredia, 0-1) in the third round of a scheduled four rounds.
