Alexander Volkanovski is back for another championship fight and that means a new set of custom shorts.
In the main event of UFC 314 this Saturday, Volkanovski has a chance to become a two-time featherweight champion when he battles Diego Lopes for a vacant title at Kaseya Center in Miami. The belt is up for grabs with incumbent titleholder Ilia Topuria vacating it as he prepares for a move up to lightweight.
Volkanovski dons a pair of custom shorts for the headlining contest, which can be seen below.
Volkanovski joins an illustrious list of UFC stars to have custom gear prepared for major fights, including Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira, Zhang Weili, Max Holloway, Leon Edwards, and Sean O’Malley. When Volkanovski steps into the octagon Saturday, it will be the 10th straight time he is competing in a championship bout.
The 36-year-old lost the featherweight title to Topuria at UFC 298 via a vicious knockout, but now has the opportunity to regain the belt without having to meet Topuria in a rematch. He faces a stiff test in Lopes, a fan favorite who has won five straight fights since losing a competitive decision in his short-notice debut against Movsar Evloev in 2023.
