Pat Miletich was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) back in late 2023 following a stop by local police in Bettendorf, Iowa. The 57 year-old UFC Hall of Famer was given two years of supervised probation after entering a guilty plea roughly two weeks back, according to Our Quad Cities News.
Miletich, the promotion’s first-ever welterweight champion, was previously pinched on separate drunk driving charges in March 2019 and then again in July 2020.
“The Croatian Sensation” is perhaps best known to the younger generation of fans for his role in the broadcast booth, but Miletich was a force to be reckoned with in the early days of MMA. Currently sporting a 29-8-2 record, the wrestling standout made his Octagon debut at UFC 16: “Battle in the Bayou” all the way back in 1998.
Miletich was last seen quitting on the stool against UFC veteran Mike Jackson for Caged Aggression MMA just a few weeks after his OWI charge.
