Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari career has not started in the way he would have wanted it, struggling at the Scuderia. Now, there have been predictions saying that the seven-time world champion won’t even make it to the end of his contract with Ferrari. Along with that, GPblog have had an exclusive interview with a former F1 driver, and Christian Horner relives the iconic 2021 title battle once again.

Apart from the one impressive sprint day at the Chinese Grand Prix that saw Lewis Hamilton take P1 in qualifying and then a sprint race victory, life at Ferrari has been very tricky for the 40-year-old, not being able to get above P5 in any Sunday race this season.

With these struggles that the Brit is currently going through, it has got former Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari believing that he will not get to the end of his contract with the Scuderia.

“I have the feeling that Hamilton, he’s going to leave,” he said on The After Lap podcast. “I have the feeling that his time has passed, that he’s already won a lot, that he’s already won everything and that he’s saying: ‘OK, I’ve gone to Ferrari to try and see what happens in 2026.”

Max Verstappen has given Red Bull a huge amount of success in recent years, with the Dutchman taking four consecutive drivers’ titles, including a record-breaking year in 2023.

However, team principal Christian Horner still sees the 2021 title win over Lewis Hamilton as” the highlight of the team’s history”.

It was the first-ever title for the now 27-year-old, with a last-lap overtake denying Hamilton his record-breaking eighth world title, and it is one that Horner still regards as the greatest, continuing to talk about Verstappen’s world-class status increasing every year.

Former F1 driver Gijs van Lennep has exclusively spoken with GPblog, giving his thoughts on the 2025 season so far and the start Max Verstappen has made.

Van Lennep spoke about how people do not take the sublime talent of Verstappen for granted, saying, “You can see that now, he’s been doing it for four years, and now this year again.”
