Welcome to Arrowhead Pride’s 2025 NFL Draft live blog. This year, the festivities come to us from the legendary “Titletown” in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
On opening night, TV coverage will be provided by ABC (locally on KMBC/9), NFL Network, ESPN and ESPN Deportes. That coverage will also be streamed on NFL+ and the ABC and ESPN apps. You can listen on SiriusXM, Westwood One and ESPN Radio.
Here we will bring you Jared Sapp’s live updates regarding Kansas City Chiefs rumors, pick reactions, trade updates, hot takes and more — while also providing for discussion in the comments.
Barring any last-minute trades, the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars are scheduled to have the first picks of the draft. The Chiefs are scheduled to have one first-round pick: No. 31.
[10:23 p.m.]
The Chiefs still had two tackles they had been heavily linked to left on the board, but that number is halved as the Commanders take Oregon tackle Josh Conerly.
The Buffalo Bills are now on the board.
[10:17 p.m.]
Detroit adds massive defensive tackle Tyleik Williams. Two more selections to come before the Chiefs are on the clock.
The Washington Commanders are now on the clock.
[10:12 p.m.]
Taking a safety with nickel cornerback versatility seems like a typical Ravens pick. Five selections now remain in the first round.
The Detroit Lions are now on the clock.
[10:04]
The Falcons come away from night one with some major reinforcement to the pass rush. After adding Walker at pick #15, Atlanta adds another SEC pass rusher in Tennessee’s James Pearce Jr. The trade up will cost them their 2026 first round selection.
The Baltimore Ravens are now on the clock.
[10:00 p.m.]
The freefall for Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders continues, as the Giants trade up to select Mississippi’s Jaxson Dart with the 25th selection.
The Atlanta Falcons are now back on the clock after trading with the Los Angeles Rams to re-enter round one.
[9:52 p.m.]
The Vikings stay on the clock and restart the offensive line run. They take Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson, who may profile either at left tackle or at left guard.
The Houston Texans — also rumored to be interested in offensive line — were scheduled to be on the clock. That pick, however, has been traded to the New York Giants. Which quarterback is heading to New York will be revealed shortly.
[9:46 p.m.]
In front of the roaring home crowd, the Packers take Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden. This marked the first time Green Bay has taken a first round wideout in over 20 years.
The Minnesota Vikings — widely rumored as a trade partner with the Chiefs — are now on the clock.
[9:37 p.m.]
It turns out the Chiefs will be seeing Hampton twice a year in division games after all. Despite signing the top running back in free agency in Najee Harris, Los Angeles doubles up on the position with the 22nd pick.
The hosting Green Bay Packers are now on the clock.
[9:27 p.m.]
The Steelers will apparently remain a hostage to Aaron Rodgers’ intentions as they pass on Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders for Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon.
The Los Angeles Chargers are now on the clock.
[9:19 p.m.]
Entering the draft, the Broncos were widely ruled to be pursuing an aggressive trade up for Jeanty. Even after not securing his services, the consensus second best running back, North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton, was still on the board. Denver would pass on the position all together, however, to select Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron.
With their quarterback situation still unsettled, the Pittsburgh Steelers are now on the clock.
[9:13 p.m.]
For the fourth consecutive draft, Ohio State sees a wideout drafted in the first round as the Bucs snag Emeka Egbuka.
The Denver Broncos are now on the clock.
[9:07 p.m.]
Back to offensive line as the Seahawks take North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel. A tackle for the Bison, his NFL future will likely see him move inside to guard.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now on the clock.
[9:00 p.m.]
When the Chiefs next face the Bengals (which can happen no earlier than the 2025-26 postseason), a new pass rusher will attempt to bring down Patrick Mahomes in Texas A&M’s Shemar Stewart. Whether he will be more successful than in college, where he totaled only 4.5 sacks, remains to be seen. Whether he lines up opposite disgruntled edge rusher Trey Hendrickson also will need to be answered.
The Seattle Seahawks are now on the clock.
[8:53 p.m.]
Another polarizing talent comes off the board as the Cardinals select Mississippi’s Walter Nolen. Widely considered one of the draft’s most talented players, Nolen was tagged with cryptic unspecified “character concerns” throughout the process.
The Cincinnati Bengals are now on the clock.
[8:46 p.m.]
The Falcons address their defensive needs with one of the draft’s most polarizing prospects in Georgia’s Jalon Walker. Whether he is used as an edge rusher or off ball linebacker remains to be seen.
The Arizona Cardinals are now on the clock.
[8:38 p.m.]
Indianapolis takes the draft’s second tight end in Penn State’s Tyler Warren.
The Atlanta Falcons are now on the clock.
[8:37 p.m.]
The first two defensive tackles off the board are both former Michigan Wolverines as the Dolphins take nose tackle Kenneth Grant.
The Indianapolis Colts are now on the clock.
[8:27 p.m.]
Another offensive lineman comes off the board, though likely not a target of Chiefs fans as the Cowboys take Alabama guard Tyler Booker.
The Miami Dolphins are now on the clock.
[8:22 p.m.]
The 49ers twice came close to defeating Mahomes and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Both times, a major part of their success was a fearsome pass rush. They add Georgia’s Williams to pair with generational edge rusher Nick Bosa.
The Dallas Cowboys are now on the clock.
[8:16 p.m.]
The draft’s first tight end comes off the board as the Bears keep Michigan’s Colston Loveland in the Midwest.
The San Francisco 49ers are now on the clock.
[8:09 p.m.]
Despite the quarterback questions, the Saints take Texas tackle Kelvin Banks. Three offensive linemen off the board in the top ten may not be what the Chiefs wanted to see.
The Chicago Bears are now on the clock.
[8:03 p.m.]
The Panthers ignore defensive needs and take massive wideout Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona.
The New Orleans Saints — facing major questions about the status of quarterback Derek Carr — are now on the clock.

The Carolina Panthers are now on the clock.
[7:49 p.m.]
The most heralded running back to enter the league in a generation is heading to the AFC West. The Chiefs will see Ashton Jeanty twice a year in Las Vegas.
The New York Jets are now on the clock.
[7:44 p.m.]
Browns fans woke up this morning firmly expected to welcome Hunter to Cleveland. After trading down, they end up with the draft’s best defensive lineman to slide in next to Myles Garrett.
The Las Vegas Raiders are now on the clock.
[7:38 p.m.]
As expected, the draft’s run on offensive linemen began with the Patriots, as they selected LSU tackle Will Campbell. Despite having among the most scrutinized arm length in draft history, Campbell goes fourth overall. The Browns are back on the clock. Will they make the selection this time?
[7:30 p.m.]
The Giants put aside any quarterback speculation and take the elite talent in Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter. The New England Patriots are on the clock.
[7:20 p.m.]
After a costly trade up — centered around their second rounder (36th overall) and 2026 first round selection — the Jaguars select Colorado’s Travis Hunter. For those keeping track, Hunter was announced both as a wide receiver and defensive back. The New York Giants are on the clock.
[7:13 p.m.]
To no surprise, the Titans select Miami quarterback Cam Ward — as expected for weeks. The bigger intrigue is a trade just announced for the number two overall selection. The Cleveland Browns have now traded that selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are now on the clock.
[7:08 p.m.]
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell came out on a bicycle to introduce former Packers greats to the crowd in Green Bay (and rapper Lil Wayne), After the traditional showering of boos to the commissioner, the Tennessee Titans are officially on the clock.
[6:45 p.m.]
A position expected to be hot tonight: Offensive line. Several players projected for late Round 1 or early Day 2 could come off the board earlier than expected.

If the Chiefs are going to reinforce the offensive line tonight, as widely expected, they are likely to face some competition for targeted players.
