A former two-weight UFC champion has claimed that his time in the sport is nearing its end, revealing to Donald Trump his decision to retire.

Becoming a two-weight world champion under the UFC banner is no easy feat and is exclusive to the very best the sport has ever seen. One man who is among that selective group of fighters is Henry Cejudo, but fans won’t be seeing him compete for too much longer.

Alongside Henry Cejudo, Donald Trump was in attendance during the NCAA Wrestling Championships last weekend. The two had a brief conversation about the injury Cejudo suffered in his most recent outing and any potential future fights.

Despite returning to the UFC with the intent to capture gold once again, it seems ‘Triple C’ has given up on that goal.

“I’m doing good, Mr. President,” Cejudo told Trump while referencing his eye injury. “I’ve got one more [fight] in me, and I’m calling it.”

Henry Cejudo has been vocal in his support of Donald Trump over the years, and the feeling is mutual. Cejudo sits beside Khabib Nurmagomedov and several others as one of Trump’s favorite fighters.

Shortly after their encounter, Cejudo shared a post on social media.

“Awesome catching up with the President Donald Trump at the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships.”

“I can honestly say my reality is better than my dream! [Make America Great Again].”

Henry Cejudo remains inside the top 10 in the UFC bantamweight rankings, and with his stature in the sport, is likely just a couple of wins away from contending for the throne.

The 38-year-old retired in 2020 after a dominant win over Dominick Cruz but made his return three years later at UFC 288.

Since returning to the octagon, Cejudo is still searching for his first win, losing three straight in that time. Having achieved more than he could have ever imagined in MMA, the Olympic gold medalist will retire as one of the greatest to ever compete in all of combat sports.
