NEW YORK — Dominican rising star Rohan Polanco is set to return to the ring in a 10-round welterweight bout against seasoned veteran Quinton Randall on Saturday, July 26, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Joining Polanco on the ESPN+-streamed undercard is fellow Dominican and featherweight knockout artist Yan Santana, who will make his New York City debut in a 10-round showdown against Mexican former world title challenger Aaron Alameda.
Polanco vs. Randall and Santana vs. Alameda will be featured on the undercard leading into a stacked ESPN-televised tripleheader (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT), headlined by the vacant WBO junior middleweight world title clash between Xander Zayas and Jorge Garcia.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions, tickets for the event are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.
Polanco (16-0, 10 KOs), ranked No. 7 by the WBO, earned his status after a dominant unanimous decision win over Fabian Maidana this past May in Las Vegas. A 2020 Olympian, Polanco trains in Springfield, Massachusetts, under Hector Bermudez. He signed with Top Rank in 2023 and compiled a perfect 3-0 record in 2024. His 2025 campaign kicked off with a second-round stoppage of Puerto Rico’s Jean Carlos Torres in February.
Randall (15-2-1, 3 KOs), hailing from Houston, Texas, remains a dangerous test for Polanco. He holds two wins in his last three outings since a competitive 2023 loss to Brian Norman Jr. on a Top Rank card.
Meanwhile, Santana (14-0, 12 KOs), co-promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions, is a power-punching force at 126 pounds. The 25-year-old has mostly fought in Puerto Rico, making waves with a gritty win over Brandon Valdes in his Top Rank debut last June. Santana’s latest victory came in April when he outclassed Mexico’s Edwin Palomares across ten dominant rounds.
Alameda (30-2, 17 KOs), Santana’s opponent, is a seasoned contender who challenged Luis Nery in 2020 for the WBC junior featherweight crown. Since a 2021 loss to Angelo Leo, Alameda has rattled off five consecutive wins, including four by knockout.
Additional ESPN+ Undercard Highlights:
Bakhodir Jalolov (15-0, 14 KOs), Uzbekistan’s two-time Olympic heavyweight, returns to the U.S. in a 10-round bout versus Italy’s Gianmarco Cardillo (12-1-2, 2 KOs). Jalolov won gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics and resumed his pro career in April with a victory over Ihor Shevadzutskyi.
Steven “Kid Dynamite” Navarro (6-0, 5 KOs), the rising junior bantamweight from Inglewood, California, will face Cristopher Rios (11-2, 7 KOs) in an eight-rounder. Navarro has impressed since his pro debut in April 2024 and continues to push toward title contention.
