Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal for highly-rated Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, with just one more round of negotiations remaining before an agreement is finalised.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the two Premier League clubs are edging closer to sealing the transfer, with personal terms already agreed between Liverpool and the player last week.
The transfer news expert provided the latest update on his X account:
” Liverpool are prepared to seal Milos Kerkez deal with one more round of talks to get it over the line!
“Bournemouth and Liverpool are finalizing the agreement after personal terms in place last week.
“Here we go, soon. “
Arne Slot continues his spending spree
The 21-year-old Hungarian international has emerged as a top target for the Reds as they look to reinforce their defensive options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Kerkez, who impressed with his consistent performances for Bournemouth last season, fits the profile of a modern full-back that Liverpool manager Arne Slot is eager to work with.
While the initial stages of the deal progressed smoothly, with Kerkez giving the green light to a move to Anfield, the two clubs have been in ongoing talks to finalise the structure of the agreement.
Kerkez’s potential arrival would add valuable depth to Liverpool’s left-back position, currently anchored by Andy Robertson, who has faced injury concerns in recent seasons.
With Kostas Tsimikas also likely to be assessed for his future at the club, Kerkez could play an important role in Liverpool’s long-term plans.

Liverpool are about to seal the deal

Bournemouth are reportedly open to selling the player, provided their valuation is met, and Liverpool appear ready to do just that.
With the final round of talks imminent, the phrase “Here we go” may soon be officially confirmed by Romano as Liverpool move closer to securing one of the most promising young full-backs in English football.
While one defender is about to arrive at Anfield, another is on his way out as Joe Gomez is attracting interest from Premier League clubs.
