Amanda Ribas and Tabatha Ricci have agreed to face off in the undercard of UFC 318 on July 19, multiple sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by MMA Mania.
The pay-per-view show will be headlined by Louisiana’s own Dustin Poirier making his retirement fight in New Orleans, facing BMF titleholder Max Holloway in a five-round clash.
Ribas (12-6) won five of seven as a strawweight in the UFC, which includes a 2021 decision against now-ranked No. 1 at 115 pounds Virna Jandiroba. Ribas changed weight classes constantly in the promotion, bringing her overall UFC record down to 7-5, and she now attempts to snap a two-fight skid versus Rose Namajunas and Mackenzie Dern.
Ricci (11-3) was victorious in six of her eight UFC bouts at 115 pounds after losing a flyweight match to Manon Fiorot in her debut back in 2021, topping veterans such as Gillian Robertson, Angela Hill and Tecia Pennington, and looks to get back to the winning column following a defeat to Yan Xiaonan this past November.
