UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10 (UFC FPI 10) lost its stellar main event less than two weeks before the show, but the card is still pretty deep. Several world champions and top Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) prospects are competing, with a main event featuring CJI champion Nick Rodriguez and Victor Hugo.

UFC FPI 10 will happen on Thursday, Mar. 6, 2025, starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. Below is everything you need to know about the UFC’s BJJ event in Las Vegas.

Can Nicky Rod finally beat Victor Hugo?

Nick Rodriguez is currently on an incredible streak, which includes a dominant CJI performance that won him a million dollars, and a UFC FPI 8 main event win over Michael Pixley. He has just one loss in his last 15 matches, and that lone defeat came against his longterm rival, Victor Hugo.

Both men joined the inaugural CJI event in 2024, as the two favorites on opposite sides of the bracket. Most expected them to meet in the open-weight final, but Hugo was upset by Lucas Kanard in the opening round, and Rodriguez went on to win the tournament.

That rematch finally goes down on UFC FPI 10.

Hugo, a five time IBJJF world champion across gi and no gi, has three wins over Nicky Rod through the years. The first two were in smaller shows in 2020 and 2021, and most recent one was in WNO 22 in 2024.

All of those losses came via close and competitive referee decisions, and it will be interesting to see if Rodriguez’s constant improvements will be enough to finally get him over the hump.

Rodriguez has rounded out his game and streamlined his trademark wrestle up and bodylock passing to go on this dominant streak as of late. Styles make fights though, and Hugo combines that size and strength with a guard game has historically caused Rodriguez a lot of problems.

Will Nicky Rod’s improvements be enough to finally get revenge, or will UFC FPI 10 show that Hugo really has his number?

BJJ champions and four top prospects to watch at UFC FPI 10

Elisabeth Clay vs. Brianna Ste-Marie is a great match up between two world champions that are 1-1 against each other. Renato Canuto vs. Oliver Taza and Ronaldo Junior vs. Felipe Costa pretty much guarantees entertainment as it features grapplers known for pace and action. Elite gi competitor and IBJJF Crown winner Andy Murasaki is also returning to no gi competition against Daniel Sathler.

Those are all intriguing matches between accomplished BJJ champions, but there are also four hot prospects in the card worth tuning in for.

Sarah Galvao has been following in the footsteps of her BJJ legend father, Andre Galvao, recently dominating her pro grappling debut at WNO 26. The brown belt world champion will be taking on Cassia Moura, who recently became the youngest black belt world champion in IBJJF history.

Sticking with the theme, there will also be another teenage BJJ phenom and a second generation grappler on the UFC FPI 10 card. 18-year-old ADCC silver medalist Helena Crevar will take on Maggie Grindatti-Lira, while Vagner Rocha’s son, Achilles Rocha takes on Nathan Haddad.
